Deilah Johnson - Seat E, Environmental Coordinator

Environmental Coordinator/Grant Writer/Council Member - Deilah Johnson pictured with her son Tristan. She is the daughter of Elizabeth Johnson with siblings Derek and Amy Johnson.  She lives in Florence, Oregon. 

Deilah has been employed with the Village of Solomon since April 2012. She has been managing the Indian General Assistance program's workplans since 2014 (IGAP). She completed a 2-year term as an Alaska Rep on the Regional Tribal Operations Committee for Region 10, completed the Arctic Renewable Energy Network Academy where she has been mentored across the Arctic Circle Nations in Iceland, Canada and throughout Alaska and also completed the UAF Sustainable Energy Occupational Endorsement program in 2019. Deilah also manages covid relief services and had been recruited to join the UAF Bristol Bay Campus solar decathalon design team where she had become a UAF student once again. Deilah spearheaded the 7kW rooftop solar panel system with a 10 lithium ion battery bank at the Community Center July 2021. Deilah is serving her second consecutive term as Seat E on the Traditional Council, serving 3 year terms ending 2025.

She is the grant writer for the tribe, managing grant applications and ensuring implementation of programs and projects .  She works remotely from her home.
