We have an announcement. We initially wanted to launch sooner and thanks to our former employee for putting these two documents together; we have our current Traditional Youth Seat, Imari Bright who will now take on working directly with our VOS Youth. She will be working on outreach, activities, support and ensure that as her seat on the Traditional Council is to represent them; she will make the effort to get to know our youth and speak on behalf of them.

Youth 2026 Elections

Notice of Youth General Election

Two (2) youth seats are open for voting. If your youth has been thinking of ways to help their tribe or their voices want to be heard, let them know the Village of Solomon has youth seats open.

Two Youth Seats are open

●Youth seat (A) 10 years old to 18 years old

●Youth seat (B) 10 years old to 18 years old Two (2) youth seats are open. 10-18 years old.

Youth does not have to reside in the Nome area.

There is one meeting monthly, If you can not show up in person you can show up by phone or if you have a laptop I will send zoom links.

To run for a seat, write an essay to the council by answering the following questions:

  1. Intro- Who you are!

  2. What does Solomon mean to you?

  3. What would you want to do as a youth member on the Village of Solomon tribal council?

  4. What goals/ aspirations do you have, and how do you see yourself being involved with the Youth Council?

Council will vote on the two youth seats!
