It is with great appreciation, to share the news of the State of Alaska’s Dept of Natural Resources upholding their denial to IPOP’s aggressive appeals.

This is yet, another win for our land, for our salmon, for our birds, for our people- however, we must never put our guard down. There will always be an opportunity for someone to cause harm to our resources. We must always protect, advocate and raise awareness around the integral piece of our ancestral lands that are tied directly to who we are today. Until we have direct ownership over the watershed, over the many acres in and around Solomon - we should always be prepared to fight for the protections of our livelihood.

The State has conducted the research, understanding and have appropriately observed the timeline of activities in which IPOP has endured upon the permitting, the public nonsense, the inaccurate data provided by the mining company - all of which contributed to the upheld DENIAL.
